Riders must meet the WMX Eligibility requirements in order to race at an event this season. The WMX race format will consist of two (2) motos of 12 minutes plus one (1) lap each. Scoring will be based on a combined moto format to determine the overall winner for the event, in accordance with the AMA Pro Racing Rulebook.

For 2026, the WMX Championship is a six-round series that takes place in conjunction with Pro Motocross National Championship events throughout the country. The WMX events will follow a two-day format, with one moto held on Friday and one moto held on Saturday.

Rounds will take place at the Hangtown Motocross Classic, Thunder Valley National, High Point National, Unadilla National, Budds Creek National, and conclude at the Ironman National.
